We are still living through a pandemic, but have made positive strides from where we were a year ago, when we were just beginning to learn, all about this strange new way to be, and were incessantly bombarded with more questions than answers.
We were fearful, anxious, missing loved ones, and the connectedness we were used to experiencing through physical proximity, touch, handshakes, and hugs.
It was like we were on this global roller coaster ride not knowing if we would plummet at unearthly speeds, head left or right, or be catapulted into the stratosphere.
So, where are we today? Still fearful and anxious but, somehow, these two unwanted party guests seem to be a little more manageable. Why? Well, getting to see our loved ones again could have a lot to do with it. Being able to sit in our backyards with friends and neighbours could also have contributed to our returning smiles and laughter.
Perhaps we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief because the one uniting sentiment that has floated to the surface of this human experience, is the care, compassion, and love, we innately have for one another, no matter who we are. Whether we are members of the same family, friends, business associates, or complete strangers who live down the street or on the other side of the world, the truth is, we care about each other.
Really, this realization is the essence of what Anonyluv is all about. Doing something for someone, be it a caregiver, a friend, a coworker, or simply said, another human being, is expressing the goodness, the altruistic nature, that is innate in each and every one of us.
